The Mystery of the Resurrection

Christ in You
- Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead is living in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
- Colossians 1:26 “The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. (27) To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
- More than a medical Miracle, the resurrection of Christ gave man access to God!
The Work of the Cross
- Matthew 27:50 “When Jesus cried out, in a loud voice, ‘It is finished,’ he gave up his spirit. (51) At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.”
- The 60’x30' veil in the temple, that separated man from the presence and power of God, was rent...ripped from the top to the bottom, by the hand of God.... giving man access to God.
- This access was prophesied by Jeremiah 600+ years in advance of Jesus on the cross…
- Jeremiah 31:31 “The time is coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah… (33) I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people… (34) For they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Our Passover Lamb
- Exodus 12:13 “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”
- John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
- Jesus is our Passover Lamb – a sinless sacrifice for the sins of the world.
- Ephesians 3:6 “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”
New Life through Christ
- I Corinthians 15:17 “If Christ be not raised, your faith is futile; ye are yet in your sins. (57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- John 20:27 “Stop doubting and believe! (30) These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”
- John 10:10 “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
- II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
- Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth,‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
