(2) See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people, but the LORD rises upon you and His glory shall be seen upon you. (3) Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

The Bible is our Play Book – We must handle the Word of God (ball) over the Goal Line!

  1. Carry the ball – Learn to run with the Word by yourself
  • Psalm 119:11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
  • Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
  • James 1:22-25 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
  • Psalm 1:1 Blessed (Happy) is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (2) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (3) And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
  • I Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

  1. Handoff the ball – The Power of Partnership
  • Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NLT) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.  But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”
  • Matthew 18:19 “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
  • James 5:14 “Is any sick among you?  Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.     (16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed…”

  1. Pass the ball – Exercise Faith and Trust in the Word to make great gains!
  • Psalm 37:5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
  • Daniel 3:1-30   Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, miraculously delivered through the fire!
  • King Nebuchadnezzar praised God, then made a decree for the nation and promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! (Isaiah 60:3 “Nations and Kings will come to your Light!”)

BIBLE PLEDGE – This is my Bible.  I am what it says I am.  I have what it says I have.  I can do what it says I can do.  God created me.  God put me here.  God has a purpose for my life.  And God is empowering me to fulfill His Purpose.  Today I have received the incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living seed of the Word of God and I will never be the same.
