Jesus brought HOPE to the World

  • Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” 
  • Matthew 1:18 “This is how the birth of Jesus came about:  His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
  • Matthew 1:21 “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” 
  • Matthew 1:22 “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: (23) The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel – which means, God with us.”

  • Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
  • Faith = Hope + God's Word
  • Romans 10:9 “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raise him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
  • Confession is an action of Faith
  • II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
  • John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Hope maketh not Ashamed - does not disappoint, because it activates FAITH

  • Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (3)And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience: (4) And patience; experience; and experience, hope: (5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
  • I John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
  • John 14:17 “He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.  The world cannot receive him because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”
