Prosperity of Spirit, Soul, and Body

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” III John 2

The Apostle Paul wrote these words by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and revealed God’s will for every believer.

He wants you prosperous and healthy! “Above all things” indicates God’s high priority on these blessings for the believer.

However, notice the end of the verse…“as thy soul prospereth.” Godly prosperity and health begins on the inside. The outward, or external, expression of real prosperity and health feeds off the inner condition of the soul.

As you grow in mercy, love, gentleness, kindness, and goodness, your physical circumstances will be affected. You will begin to talk differently, think differently, and act differently. Your light begins to shine from the inside and literally affects the external conditions around you!

Feed the inner man and watch God do more in your life than you can think or ask! (See Ephesians 3:20.)

PRAY: “Father, make me to be the person in my corner of the world who has a shining face which reflects Your glory and prosperity, because I am learning that in You and You alone I ‘live, and move, and have (my) being.’* In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.”
