Perfect Peace

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”  Isaiah 26:3

EVERYONE is seeking PEACE. The world is looking for PEACE from wars and fighting. Individuals seek spiritual PEACE in their hearts. Many would give anything they had and pay any price for this elusive inner quality called PEACE.

The Bible says that Jesus brought PEACE to earth. The angels heralded His coming with songs of praise: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14)

The PEACE that Jesus offers is a “peace of mind,” an inner PEACE. To receive it, you must take on the “mind of Christ.” That is found in Philippians 2:5-8, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…who…made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant…he humbled himself….”

HUMILITY is the place of God’s rest and His attention turns toward him who is poor (in spirit) and “of a contrite heart.” (Isaiah 66:1-2) You can find PEACE in the midst of this troubled world by walking humbly before God and man. God says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:l0a)

PRAY: “God of all PEACE, I humble myself before You and take on the ‘mind of Christ.’ Perfect Your PEACE in me today. In Jesus Name, amen.”
