Bible Study: Galatians 6:1-10
- Living by Faith activates the creative power of the Holy Spirit
- Living creatively keeps your faith fresh and exciting
- Living creatively requires you to believe God
Galatians 6:1 (Message) “Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out.”
- Believe that people can change
- II Corinthians 5:18 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”
Galatians 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
- Believe in the power of love
- John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, of you have love one to another.”
Galatians 6:3 “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”
- Believe in the true source of your power
- Acts 17:28 “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being…”
Galatians 6:4 “But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. (5) For every man shall bear his own burden.”
- Believe in your God-given assignment
- Don’t compare or compete with others
Galatians 6:6 (NIV) “The one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.”
- Believe in your spiritual covering
- God has put people in your life for encouragement and correction
Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived: God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. (8) For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
- Believe in the law of sowing & reaping
- Sow to the Spirit by hearing and obeying the Word of the Lord
- Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
- Believe that your season’s gonna change
- Due season (Gr. Kairos) – God’s Time
Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
- Believe in the Principle of doing good
- Any act of doing good can activate the due season of God
