Carrying the Fire – The Sword (Word) & Fire (Spirit)

Handle the Word for Forgiveness & Salvation – Our Father’s love for the Prodigals
· Luke 15:20 (Prodigal son) “So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
· Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Word Handling Skills
· Hear it – “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
· Speak it – “The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” (Romans 10:8)
· Do it – “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22)
· The Bible is our Play Book, Holy Spirit calls the plays, Jesus is the Head Coach – Don’t fumble the ball.
· We are a team - Have a field - Have a goal - Opposition - Lots of people are watching how we play...
God’s Word – Our Spiritual Weapon
· Isaiah 59:19 “When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard (Word) against him.”
· Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP) “Then said the Lord to me… I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”
· II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (21) God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
