Miracle Mentality – Miracle Feeding of 5,000

Miracles are intended to increase our faith
· Mir-a-cle 1: An extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
· Luke 18:27 "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
· Mark 9:23 "If you canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."
· Mark 6:5 "He could not do any miracles there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them. (6) And he was amazed at their lack of faith."
· Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
· Faith is speaking and acting like something has changed before it changes.
Mark 6:35 - Feeding of the 5,000
· How many loaves do you have?
· Jesus instructed them
· He gave thanks
· 12 basketfuls left over
· v. 52 “For they had not understood about the miracle of the loaves; their hearts were hardened.”
Mark 8:1 – Feeding of the 4,000
· How many loaves do you have?
· Jesus instructed them
· He gave thanks
· 7 basketfuls left over
· v. 17 “Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?”
What must we Understand?
1. God wants us to see with our Faith
2. God expects our faith to grow
3. God tests us after every Miracle
4. God gives us Instructions to obey
5. God Multiplies what we already Have
6. Jesus prayed by Giving Thanks
7. Somebody had to Give something
8. God gives back more than enough
9. Don’t let your heart be hardened
10. Remember your past miracles
· II Corinthians 4:18 "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
