Easter 2022 – Our Passover Lamb

Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb
· Exodus 12:13 “When I see the blood I will pass over you, no destructive plague will touch you.”
· John 1:29 "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
· Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way, death came to all people, because all sinned -- (15) How much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!”
7 Statements of Jesus - after His Resurrection - John 20
1. (v.15) “Woman, why are you crying?" - He cares about YOU!
· Hebrews 4:15 – He is a High Priest who is touched by the feeling of our infirmities.
· Psalm 56:8 (NLT) "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."
· Revelation 21:4-5 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new!”
2. (v.16) “Jesus said to her, Mary” - He knows YOU!
· John 10:3 “…He calleth His own sheep by name…”
· Matthew 10:30 “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
3. (v.17) “Go to my brothers and tell them.” - God wants a FAMILY
· Mark 16:15 “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. (16) Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved...”
· John 1:12 “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…
4. (v.19) "Peace be unto you" - He gives you PEACE
· John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
· Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
· Psalm 16:11 “You have made known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
5. (v.21) "I am sending you, receive the Holy Spirit" - He gives you POWER
· Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
6. (v.27) "Stop doubting and believe"- He believes in YOU (No failing grade)
· John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”
· Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible.”
7. (v.29) "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." - We believe by FAITH
· John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; (26) and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?
· I Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
