“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10

After salvation, good works are important, God is very much interested in how you SERVE.  Even giving a simple cup of cold water to someone who is thirsty will be rewarded.  (See Matthew 10:42.)

Moses was highly educated; he heard directly from God; he saw miracles; yet, he said, “Send someone else!” (See Exodus 4:13.) Why are people so reluctant to answer the call to service? Perhaps, humanly speaking, there is fear of failure or rejection from what people will say. Perhaps it is pride that keeps you from performing menial tasks of service. Perhaps you doubt your qualifications for the job, or perhaps there is simply a lack of vision for getting the job done.

You then need to realize that WORKS . . .

Release God’s law of sowing and reaping. (II Corinthians 9:6-14)
Prove what is in your heart. (James 2:18)
Cause others to see Christ in you. (Matthew 5:16)
Set a good example to other believers. (Titus 2:7)
Require cooperation and unity in the body of Christ. (I Corinthians 12:12-26)
Are a supernatural, foreordained gift of God. (Ephesians 2:10)

PRAY
“Father doing good works for You gives me purpose in life. Guide me in my service to others, that I might follow the path You have ordained. In Jesus’ Name,  Amen.”
