Ten Keys to Killing a Giant: #4 - Review Past Victories

“David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine… .“ I Samuel 17:37a

David had never faced a giant before. However, he had experienced some real victories in the face of danger before, of which he testified publicly.

Sometimes, in the turmoil of today’s crisis, you may forget the many times that God has come through for you in the past. Instead of trusting your loving Father, you may find yourself complaining or speaking words of doubt. Stop it! Stop prophesying failure and begin to believe that God will bring the victory again!

Revelation 12:11a says: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. . . .“ The enemy will battle with you in your mind and can be defeated only when you begin to SPEAK. There is something supernatural about the WORD of your TESTIMONY!

In the wilderness, Jesus combated the devil by SPEAKING the Word. “It is written. . . ,“ he said, at three different times, followed by quoted Scriptures. (See Luke 4.) He did not merely THINK on the Word; He SPOKE it.
