Send Forth Laborers

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

God wants to birth in you three things this year so that you can witness more effectively of His grace in your harvest field, wherever that might be:

1) Compassion..the kind that draws people because they see Jesus in you.

2) Unity in purpose…the kind that teams you up with the Spirit and your local church, working together as co-laborers.

3) Focus…the kind that gives clarity of direction.

The harvest Jesus talks about requires labor, and God sees you as a laborer together with Him. Is it not great to be teamed up in the fields with the Lord as a co-worker?

I Corinthians 3:9 says, “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”

God also sees YOU as the harvest! He is looking for growth in YOUR life. He is looking for mature fruit that can be picked and shared by others. Appropriate God’s Word to bring forth personal growth as well as willing labor in His vineyard.

PRAY: “Lord of the harvest, I am happy to be in Your field today. Please remove all weeds that would destroy the pure product at the time of harvest. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.”
