Standing On God's Promises

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” II Peter 1:4

Who are you in Christ? “…more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)

What can you do in Christ? “…all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)

What do you have in Christ? Life, light, power, peace, provision for your needs and “…all things that pertain unto life and godliness.”  (II Peter 1:3)

Jehoshaphat and the armies of Israel were about to win a great victory when he prayed, “Oh, God, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” (II Chronicles 20:12, paraphrased)

Sometimes in the battles and testings of life one must be reminded of his Source…Christ Jesus. God is looking for total dependence in any relationship with Him, so that HE is able to fight the battles.

Keep looking on Him, keep listening to His voice, and keep following His commands so that you may enjoy total victory!
