Spiritual Breakthrough

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down [from the mountaintop], charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish.  And let the priests also, which come near to the Lord, sanctify themselves, lest the Lord break forth upon them.” Exodus 19:21-22

Do you need a supernatural solution from God today? You may require a SPIRITUAL, BREAKTHROUGH! By definition, the word “breakthrough” has a couple of meanings: 1) Breaking through an obstruction; 2) An offensive thrust that carries beyond defensive lines in warfare.  (See II Corinthians 10:3-6)

The children of Israel found sin and disobedience to be an obstruction to spiritual breakthrough in their lives.  They had relationship, but God wanted more. . . companionship and fellowship.  Moses had that closeness to God because he spent time with God.  As a result, God invited Moses to the mountaintop and into spiritual breakthrough.  The priests were exhorted to“sanctify themselves” before coming near to God.  Personal holiness and purity allow you to come nearer to God.

You cannot force your way to the top of the mountain and into God’s presence; it is by invitation ONLY.  As you spend time with God in worship and in His Word, He becomes your companion and invites you to the mountain of spiritual breakthrough…to His mountain of supernatural solutions.

Pray: “Father, I desire Your companionship and need Your supernatural solutions.  I sanctify myself today to walk in truth and obedience. Amen.”
