“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“But, Daddy, I want it NOW!” This kind of childish impatience is sometimes revealed in relationships with God. Yet, God’s timing is most perfect.

1) Be willing to wait – When you walk with God, time is a BLESSING. Time HEALS; time MATURES; time brings UNDERSTANDING; time instills VISION; time develops ABILITIES.

2) Put the clock in God’s hands – “And [God] changeth the times and the seasons…,” Daniel 2:21 says. Trust and confidence in God’s plan for your life will relieve you of the pressure of watching the clock. He is the Author and Finisher of your faith, the Beginning and the End. (See Hebrews 12:2.)

3) Prayer gives timing – Prayer makes you more sensitive to God’s timing. Many times God is not saying “No,” just “Not now.” God’s timetable moves in direct proportion to your own spiritual hunger. It is amazing how time flies when you just place it in God’s hands and seek Him!

Trust God’s perfect timing and walk faithfully with Him today.

PRAY: “Alpha and Omega, all-perfect Father, forgive my fruitless actions performed through impatient behavior. Teach me to wait. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.”
