The Kingdom of God – God’s plan: To influence earth with the culture of Heaven!
Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.”
- The Community of God on Earth
- Heaven’s Influence on Earth
- God’s culture, language, lifestyle, values, and morals…on Earth
- A Domain of Righteous, Peace & Joy
- Where the King Rules His Domain
- Doesn’t Come with Observation
- The Kingdom is Within You
- Wherever Heaven’s Influence takes Dominion over the Earth
Kingdom Community – Discover and value your God-given gifts and talents
- Ephesians 2:19,22 “You are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household… built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.”
- I Peter 2:5 “You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood… ”
Three Parables of Jesus – to understand the Kingdom of God from God’s perspective.
- Parable of the Talents – Matthew 25:14-30
- You are God’s Property – Gifts & Talents belong to God.
- God expects a return on His investment – Do something with what God has given you.
- God is returning to evaluate our progress – Good works are important!
- Poor Stewardship will be judged by God – “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
- The Sheep and Goats – Matthew 25:31-46
- God’s watching how we treat the poor – God opportunities!
- Serving others is a matter of Life & Death – whether you’re blessed or cursed.
- We serve God by serving Others – “Inasmuch as ye have done it to others, ye have done it unto me…”
- Ministry to others flows naturally from a Transformed Life – “Lord, when did we see You in need?”
- Mustard Seed Faith – Matthew 13:31-32
- Matthew 17:20 “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
- The Least is Greatest in the Kingdom
- A Seed must be Planted – John 12:24 “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
- God wants your life to influence others – Like branches of a tree draw birds.
- Mustard Seed Faith moves Mountains
Your Gifts & Talents – Given by God
- I Timothy 4:14 “Neglect not the gift that is in thee…”
- Proverbs 17:8 “A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: withersoever it turneth, it prospereth.”
- Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”
